alvin-30-years
  • Alvin started with us in 1994 as an apprentice mechanic. With his attention to detail, willingness to learn and strong work ethic, he quickly worked his way up to a licensed heavy-duty mechanic. After becoming licensed, Alvin’s motivation continued to grow, and he was promoted to his current role as our Service manager. Alvin’s knowledge has expanded and kept up with the continuously evolving Ag industry. He is an integral part of our daily operations. The Team and I truly appreciate Alvin’s dedication and loyalty he has shown Gratton Coulee Agri Parts over the past 30 years. We are very honoured to be able to call Alvin our Service Manager, and friend. Thank you for everything you do, and the knowledge you share with the team.  – Rick Glover

  • Thirty years is an amazing run for anyone. Since that first day when Alvin showed up with the passenger seat removed from his red 1967 Impala convertible and his toolbox sitting in place of it, he has stuck by us without fault. Of course, all of us don’t agree on everything but we always come to, I believe, the correct decision in the end. He has been here long enough that he has seen the company prosper along with the rest of our family. We have been to his wedding and seen his family grow up and start their own families. As he has seen with Rick’s and my family as well. He has stayed with the company at times when there were strong offers elsewhere, mainly due to the Alberta oilfield. I think this says a lot for his integrity and being able to see the long-term reliable picture. Both Rick and I realize how stressful his job as “Service Manager” customer/mechanic/job organizer is (mostly because he cares about our family business). Gratton Coulee Agri Parts has become what it is equally because of his work effort as much as ours. I am hoping for many, many more years of working together to try to keep this organized chaos organized. I may not always be great at showing how much I appreciate his effort but that is mostly because I don’t stop and chat as much as I should. Thank you for all of your hard work Alvin. – Joe Glover
